Our PL-B600-series CMOS and PL-B800-series CCD of digital cameras for cameras offer resolutions from 1.3Mpx to 6.62Mpx with either USB 2.0 and FireWire interface connection to your computer.
The new PL-E420 CMOS camera series with fast USB 2.0 connection offers you economical digital microscope cameras for teaching, hobby, laboratory or physician's practice applications - when cost is an important factor und our advanced and more expensice cameras are not essential. 

Our PixeLINK µScope software is included with each camera kit. However, our PL-E400 series is equipped with the µScope Essentials software. Both soft-ware packages are real-time and interactive, designed specifically for all microscopy applications.

The new PL-B800-series CCD cameras offer high-sensitivity, for example in fluorescence applications, which could not be addressed with "ordinary" cameras until now.  Our PixeLINK µScope and µScope Essentials software allows the user:

A sample of the PixeLINK µScope software, to view its functions can be downloaded from our DOWNLOADS PAGE, but due to the requirement of a security dongle [supplied with the software], only offers very limited functionality.

Multiple user modes and averaging provide for extreme flexibility, all within an intuitive interface. 
PixeLINK µScope software also includes fully functional TWAIN and WDM interfaces, the FireWire-connected cameras also offer a DCAM interface that can be used with many 3rd party software applications without limitation. For more advanced applications, we can supply a SDK [Software Developers Kit] - ask us for details. Combining excellent image quality, high speed and ease of use make the PL-B600 and PL-B800 series of cameras - either USB 2.0- or FireWire-connected - your first choice microscopy cameras.

The FireWire-connection from camera to computer requires a 6-pin cable connection, combining camera power supply and high-speed data transmission between camera and computer, which is not included in the basic camera kits above. Your computer may also require a FireWire interface board, or in the case of a Laptop computer, a power unit to sup-plement the non-powered 4-pin interface outlet.

The new PixeLINK PL-E420 series digital cameras are equipped with a fast USB 2.0-connection to your computer and therefore do not need frame grabber boards and do not have any special plugs or proprietary connection to your computer - simply USB 2.0 - plug and play! The cameras are extremely compact and outfitted with high-perfomance CMOS sensors. Designed for digital photography in schools, laboratories in universities and industry, private offices of physicians and others, the cameras are targetted, where our other professional CCD and CMOS cameras are not required aand a cost-effective solution is required. 
The cameras are commonly supplied with two [2] software packages - uSCOPE Essentials and PL-CAPTURE OEM. With this software, you will be able to cover virtually all common applications and requirements in your daily operations and include full camera control, measurements in the "live" image, time lapse and movie productions, image processing and much more. Technical and Applications Note for use of the cameras of the PL-E420-CU series:

In case your microscope does not have a proper photo port, we can supply a simple adapter to mount the camera on one of the ocular tubes - for Compund and Stereomicroscopes - from where it can be easily removed, if not needed. In all other cases, we strongly recommend the use of a professional optical coupler to mount the camera on the micro-scope's photo port.
